The University utilizes an enterprise version of Campaign Monitor, an email marketing tool that Pitt schools and departments may use free of charge to send personalized, professional-looking emails. Our office manages this account and can help you to create the account you will need to access the system.
We will help you to configure and manage your HTML-based emails within the approved brand identity. Our service includes training with Campaign Monitor so you can manage your email communications independently.
The setup and interface for this version of Campaign Monitor closely resemble those of other email platforms, with similar content editors, sign-up forms, data reports and open rates. They also provide “unsubscribe” and “read online” links and the ability to link from the email back to your website.
Please keep the following guidelines in mind when using the Campaign Monitor template:
- You will need to generate your own email lists but will have the ability to upload multiple lists to the account.
- You will be required to use the approved University of Pittsburgh email template, which includes the Pitt logo in the top header and is styled in Pitt colors.
- All content will be required to adhere to University Branding and Visual Identity Guidelines, follow web publishing best practices, and utilize the University of Pittsburgh Writing Style.
